Overview
I was travelling continuously for a month and did not have enough time to relax. To prepare myself for my next trip which was going to be equally hectic, I felt the need to refresh and rejuvenate myself. I decided to stay at The Pride Plaza hotel located in the newly developed area near the Indira Gandhi Airport New Delhi. What is great about The Pride Plaza is that it offers luxury at affordable prices and is situated in a prime location.
Check-in process:
It was very amicable and hassle free process. The Staff and concierge were well behaved and very helpful. I was royally escorted till my room. I had to catch my flight next morning. So I requested them to get my tickets print out. By the time I finished my welcome drink the tickets were printed out and presented to me.
The Room
I checked in majestic Premium Rooms. It was a pool facing room on the 6th floor. It was very aesthetically done. My room was a good size for Aerocity, New Delhi, and the king size bed was so cozy and comfortable. The bed was perfectly made up with starched and clean white sheets and cute little pillows. The walls of the room were decorated with the big size pictures of the monuments of Delhi, a perfect blend of the heritage & modernity. Room was equipped with flat screen LCD TV and a mini bar.
The bathroom was well maintained and to make the stay more luxurious they had provided world class toiletries and bathroom accessories like bath robe and sleepers.
The food
I would say it was the best part of my stay. The Pride Plaza in the Aerocity is the only Hotel serving ethnic Indian dishes. And they are maintain the feel of Indian culture with a finest blend of modernity. I had the opportunity to try the Mughlai cuisine prepared by the Master chef- Shailendra. He belongs to Lucknow so carries the perfect taste of the traditional recipes in all the preparations. Chef was flaunting his culinary talent by serving the delicacies one by one. It was really very difficult for me to decide which dish was the best.
I enjoyed my food in The café pride, the all-day dining restaurant just like it’s name was elegant, classy and exquisite.
The have one more restaurant- ORIENTAL SPICE for delicacies from the Far East. It also has a live kitchen. I had my dinner at Orient Spice. It was simply delicious.
The Spa
I planned my visit for relaxing and rejuvenating, hence going to the spa had to be in my itinerary. When I saw the board of the world class spa- ORA REGENESIS SPA in the lobby I could not resist myself. I booked it immediately to pamper myself. The ambience of the spa was very calm and soothing. The low lights, essential oils aroma, classy décor and skilled therapist what else could one wish for!
My therapist Maxi was a beautiful girl from North east. A bright smile on her face and gentle touch was making me relax in each step. It was such a good place to unwind and relax at the end of the long day. They have a wide range of massages right from Indian to Turkish, Swedish etc. that one should definitely try.
The Location
Let me tell u more about Aerocity. The Aerocity is the part of The Delhi Aerocity project spread over 45 acres and was proposed by GMR Group led Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) in 2006 as part of the modernization plan of the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The plan included setting up of 12 hotels with a capacity of around 4,000 plus rooms in both luxury and budget categories. The Pride Plaza is one of them. It is less than a kilometer away from the INDIRA GANDHI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT and at a stone’s throw away from Aerocity Metro station, which is well connected with all the tourist attractions, shopping malls, New Delhi Railway Station and National Bus Station.
Overall The Pride Plaza Hotel was the perfect location for a stay in Delhi. The staff I can’t forget were extremely helpful and courteous from the moment we stepped inside and did everything to make us comfortable. It was indeed an experience that would stay in my memory for a long time.
