Sub: 35th IATO Annual Convention,12th –15th September 2019, Kolkata, West Bengal
We are delighted to announce the 35th IATO Annual Convention being held in Kolkata from 12th – 15th September 2019. West Bengal will be the host state and we have been assured full support from the State Government.
The venue of the convention is “ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata” which is a brand new property. Inaugural function of the convention will be held at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre Kolkata on 12th September 2019 and all business sessions and other functions will be held at ITC Royal Bengal Kolkata.
Our last convention in Kolkata was held in 2002 and it will be an opportunity for most of our members to visit City of Joy after 17 years and we may see lot of development and new tourism products that have come up in West Bengal.
Theme of the convention and the topics for the business session are being finalized and we seek your inputs in finalizing the topics to be decided for the Business Sessions. Would appreciate if you could send your suggestions on Theme and the business sessions by 16th July 2019 for consideration.
The inauguration will be in the evening of the 12th September 2019 and the last session ends on the 14th September 2019 followed by closing dinner. However, for the tour operators and travel agents, there will be an exclusive half day session on 12th September 2019 in the forenoon.
There will be post-convention tours starting from 15th September 2019 onwards for which details will be sent soon.
We are in the process of finalizing the logistics and shall send you the registrations details soon but in the meantime please block your calendars.
Also please book your air tickets on the cheaper air fare presently being offered by various airlines.
As you all know IATO convention is one platform, which gives every member an opportunity to meet their industry colleagues, network and share thoughts with each other and help contribute to the national discussion process on tourism issues.
Request participate in large numbers and also encourage all your colleagues including non-IATO members to join for the IATO convention and support our industry.
